A Commercial Lead with over 20 years of experience providing commercial and contract management leadership to ensure that the commercial interests are optimised for the business. I am a strong communicator who is able to be clear minded and remain calm in order to manage complex and varied works. The majority of my career has been working within the east of England which has allowed me to have a good understanding of the authorities within that area, including National Highways, Environment Agency, Local Authorities and Telecommunications providers. I have a proven track record of delivering results through strong leadership and support to project teams with involvement throughout all contract stages. It is key that within my role I ensure that I have a strong team that are given clear and decisive direction, support and guidance when needed. My responsibilities include the management of the complete commercial function from end-to-end including process compliance, risk analysis, commercial strategies, dispute resolution, staff development, procurement, bid support – all while maintaining profitable delivery and satisfied clients. My client experience is principally public sector – National Highways, Environment Agency, local authorities and other government bodies as well as the £1Bn SCAPE Civil Engineering Framework. T I also lead on most contractual disputes (both with clients and sub-contractors), liaising directly with our in-house legal team and outside lawyers to develop claims and responses to support the business position. Working with colleagues to offer a broad spectrum of expert capability to our clients and our integrated teams are great examples of how a project can be run effectively with knowledgeable and experienced delivery staff from across the business.
