Responsible for the Marine Engineering Function in the Port of Cape Town, on tug boats, work boats,floating crane, pilot boats. dry-dockings, planned maintenance, statutory surveys, all engine, propulsion unit, and machinary overhauls. Carry out damage surveys to third party vessels involved in incidents in the Port. Craft audits, liason with ship repair contractors, ships spares, safety and consummables, fuel, lubricating oil. Compiling of budgets, and working with purchasing, financial,contracts, safety, crewing departments.Masters & Chief engineer's of ships
