Projects: 1. Kiribati Road Rehabilitation Project. Road rehabilitation of the islands only road through dense, heavily populated urban environment to improve the Tarawa Atoll road network. Buota to Betio townships. Works included - underground services investigations and relocation, full reconstruction of 35Km of urban road incl. new unbound Reef Mud basecourse pavements, asphalt and DBST surfacing, 7 Km’s of village "Feeder" roads using Articulated Geo-Cell concrete technology, 22 Km’s of new concrete footpaths, 36 bus shelters and 250 solar powered street lights. Armour rock and sandbag coastal protection works to protect island from climate change influences. 2. Bonriki International Airport Runway Resurfacing Project. Upgrading of airside pavements incl. profiling and then asphalt resurfacing (33,000 tonnes laid) to the existing 2.2km runway, taxiway's and apron and other related infrastructure works to service 737-800 jet aircraft. Construction of a new terminal public carpark. 3. Takoronga Boat Channel Dredging. Dredging of the Tarawa Atoll Lagoon to provide coral Reef Mud (100,000bm3) and subsequent processing/screening into graded road pavement materials for the road project.
