I was the only UX Writer at Typeform for most of the 3 years I worked there. I worked with product designers, product managers, and developers to make sure all the content in the product was concise, consistent, helpful, and actionable. So when a user is trying to do something they say "Cool, makes sense, okay" instead of "Eh? Invalid what?" Things I did: - Design content based on user stories, problem statements, and business objectives - Work with designers to create user flows and establish content hierarchy - Create and maintain style guides and translation glossaries - Create brand voice guidelines for writers and designers - Write empty states, tooltips, feature names, confirmation modals, success messages, and piles of other microcopy that help users get their stuff done (and feel good about it) - Review, edit, and give feedback on content written by product designers As a Senior Copywriter (my other hat), I did stuff like: - Rewrite and optimize the Typeform homepage - Test messaging with our target audience to see what works - Create concepts for video ads (and internal stuff like hiring videos) - Give feedback on copy and content from across the business - Create the narrative and copy for campaigns (paid ads, landing pages, emails) - Write company comms that make you laugh and cry (in a good way, hopefully) There's plenty more.
