Operational Analyst, Project Manager and Programmer with over 20 years of experience. After achieving a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics (1995), I spent five years at the Defence and Evaluation Research Agency (DERA) supporting a range of COEIA and technology cost-effectiveness assessments. In November 2001 I set up RJS Consultancy Limited and have since provided consultancy to a variety of clients.
RJS Consultancy Limited was established in November 2001 and provides Operational Analysis support to a range of defence clients including Dstl, CORDA, BAE Systems, the Maritime Warfare Centre (MWC) and the UK Defence Academy. As a Prince 2 Qualified Practitioner, I have project managed a variety of projects, including a number for non-defence clients: Driving Standards Agency (DSA), National Health Service (NHS) and the Department for Trade & Industry. I have developed a number of analytical tools and models using my VBA programming skills. This includes creating a performance management system for the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council, a readiness & sustainment capability assessment tool for BAE Systems, and a variety of OA tools for Dstl.
Teacher of Mathematics covering key stages 3-5 (school years 7 - 13), which included teaching GCSE and A-Level Maths. In 2021 I was appointed third in department with a key role of KS3 coordinator.
During this 10-month period I gained new skills outside the Defence domain including statistical analysis and software development. My main role was project managing the statistical analysis of the Driving Theory Test for the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).
Conducted Operational Analysis (OA) on a wide range of projects including a number of high profile COEIAs: FOAS, FCBA and BVRAAM.
