As part of INECO's International Bids and Tenders team, I specialize in the preparation, coordination, and submission of competitive proposals for airport and aerospace infrastructure projects worldwide. My role involves analyzing tender requirements, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, developing strategic responses, and ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications. I contribute to the growth of INECO’s global footprint in aviation and space by supporting the acquisition of high-impact, technically complex projects.
Currently, I serve as an Aeronautical Inspector in the UAS Division of the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) through INECO. In this role, my primary responsibility is to ensure safety and regulatory compliance in the operation of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in Spain. My work involves the detailed inspection of aircraft, applying specialized knowledge of aviation regulations, and evaluating emerging technologies in the UAS sector. Additionally, I closely collaborate with other professionals in the field to ensure that operations are conducted safely and in accordance with current legislation. I am committed to the continuous improvement of aviation safety standards and proud to contribute to AESA's mission.
As a consultant within the SIAM Cluster, I contribute technical expertise in drone engineering, supporting research, development, and innovation (R&D&I) initiatives focused on advancing unmanned aerial systems. My work includes advising on drone design, integration of emerging technologies, and regulatory compliance, particularly within the framework of U-space and SORA methodologies. I collaborate with industry and academic partners to drive innovation and enhance the competitiveness of the drone sector in Spain and beyond.
Como Inspector de Operaciones de Drones en AESA, me encargué de verificar documentos presentados por operadores de drones que solicitaban autorizaciones, incluyendo Análisis de Riesgos Operacionales Específicos (SORA), manuales operativos y manuales de mantenimiento, asegurándome de que cumplieran con la normativa vigente. Gracias a mis conocimientos sobre regulaciones aeronáuticas, pude brindar apoyo al público en temas de cumplimiento, responder a sus consultas y facilitar la difusión de la información necesaria. También contribuí a la actualización, modificación y traducción de documentos oficiales, ayudando a que los procedimientos internos se llevaran a cabo de manera eficaz y en línea con los requisitos regulatorios de las actividades con drones.
Inicialmente contratado para instalar el controlador de vuelo, mi puesto en IMS Drones evolucionó rápidamente hasta convertirse en un puesto de gestión de proyectos. Liderando un equipo de tres personas, nuestro objetivo era modernizar un controlador de vuelo en un dron VTOL grande existente, permitiéndole realizar una transición sin problemas de un dron de vuelo vertical a un dron de ala fija de vuelo horizontal, ejecutar una trayectoria de vuelo y aterrizar verticalmente de manera segura.
Initially hired to install the flight controller, my role at IMS Drones quickly evolved into a project management position. Leading a team of 3, our objective was to retrofit a flight controller onto an existing large VTOL drone, enabling it to transition smoothly from vertical flight drone to horizontal flight fixed wing drone, execute a flight path, and safely land vertically. Operating within tight constraints of budget and time, relying on my problem-solving skills to develop a comprehensive project plan. Despite the challenges, we successfully met all key performance indicators within the allocated resources and timeframe. This experience has been a lesson in the importance of adaptability and effective collaboration in achieving Drone project success. grateful for the opportunity to have played a pivotal role in this Drone project and am committed to continuous growth and contribution in the field of technological innovation.
