Audit and assurance partner with EY for 15 years from 1998 to date, including Abu Dhabi from 1998-2000 and 2004-2013 and Kuwait from 2000 to 2004. Senior partner role on external audits of publicly listed companies, key government entities and other local private businesses in the Gulf. Industry sector knowledge includes extensive experience on external audits and other assurance related engagements in (a) banking and financial services; (b) oil and gas / power and utilities; and (c) real estate and hospitality. Banking and FSI sector - lead engagement partner on audits of Abu Dhabi Investment Council, ADIB, UNB, Emirates Investment Authority and UAE Central Bank. Oil and gas sector - lead engagement partner on audits of TAQA, ADMA-OPCO, GASCO and KPC and independent review partner on IPIC and ADWEA.
Initial contract with Ernst & Young as Senior Accountant and Supervisor in Abu Dhabi from 1989 to 1992. Manager with Ernst & Young in Abu Dhabi from 1992 to 1998 Industry sector knowledge includes extensive experience on external audits and other assurance related engagements in (a) banking and financial services (including Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and National Bank of Abu Dhabi); and (b) oil and gas industry (including ADCO and ADMA-OPCO).
Full-time training contract under Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
