As an accomplished Director of Transport Planning, I have significant experience across the UK and Middle East with expertise that covers developing sustainable, future-proof, multi-modal mobility solutions encompassing active modes, public transport and highways. Currently is serving as the elected Chair of Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) Middle East. I have a range of critical strengths including developing feasibility studies, business cases and financial modelling; creating / implementing strategic plans and directing multiple projects; controlling budgets and divisional P&L; leveraging interactions as a change agent; and leading / developing / motivating multifunctional teams. My standout successes include: growing the KSA client base and developing a division with highly utilised specialist staff; recovering a distressed project that resulted in winning significant new projects for the business; and mitigating severe congestion on Dubai’s main road problem through applying 'war room' strategy with team. In my current role as Director of KSA & International (previously director of Special Projects Unit), I am responsible for business planning and day-to-day operations of the KSA & International, which undertakes bespoke and first-time specialist projects, alongside full responsibility for all the projects across KSA. In this role, I lead Planners and Principal Consultants with specialised skills, alongside personnel from other divisions when employed on KSA & International projects.
