Collaborated with product, business, and executive stakeholders to align delivery with strategic goals. Lead multi-discipline team responsible for the containerisation of the Enterprise system. Reworked Enterprise system DB schema migration process. Mentored senior and junior engineers, supporting career growth and performance improvement. Drove adoption of modern engineering practices (e.g., cloud migration, CI/CD, Agile). Served as final escalation point for troubleshooting across most areas of the Enterprise system. Key Achievements: Reduced DB schema migration times by 99+% Deployment times of the Enterprise system reduced by 80% and deployment reliability increased by 75% by moving from bespoke ClickOps deployment tooling to standardised and automated CI/CD Azure deployment pipelines. Migrated almost all our client infrastructure from bespoke, self-hosted setup to cloud infrastructure (Azure). Successfully delivered and maintained systems utilised by 60 lenders across the UK, originating and managing £51 billion of loans and savings accounts. (2024).
Line manager to 2 other software developers. Proposed and implemented major modernisation of the entire Windows tooling software stack. Solely responsible for the architecture and design of the rewritten codebase. Created several new tooling applications to support the programming and running of large lighting systems. Key Achievements: Migrated legacy VC++ MFC codebase to C# .NET. New tooling to support both programming of embedded touchscreen devices, and PC applications responsible for controlling and monitoring large lighting installations.
As part of a 4-man team, successfully delivered a full re-write of the Windows configuration software whilst simultaneously maintaining the older legacy codebase as required. Both software applications developed in VC++ MFC. Primarily responsible for investigating and implementing updated tooling in C# .NET. Key Achievements: Solely responsible for many key sections of the re-written configuration software, including database management, undo / redo system and preset organisation.
