Operate a nation-wide consulting practice with specialties in economic and public policy analysis, rural community economic development, strategic planning and group facilitation.
Staffed a state agency that served as an intergovernmental, public/private coordinating body with a 26 member Board of Directors. Liaison with 37 other state councils and Nat’l Rural Dev Partnership. Served as facilitator and catalyst for 50+ collaborative projects involving well over 150 different organizations statewide.
Served as a policy economist in Governor Cecil D. Andrus' budget office on rural development, water resource, agricultural, and taxation issues. Evaluated policy issues, provided interagency consultation, and managed special projects. Under Governor Evans, served more directly as policy advisor including speech writing, staffing the Governor, and responding to constituent requests.
