My main tasks are to coordinate/create a solid scientific presence in the field (F2F visits, Ad Boards, pre-launch activities, various interactions with KOLs, pharmacists and other peer-groups like health insurances, authorities). I oversee/contribute to the internal medical function within Switzerland (medical strategy, responsibility for medical clearing of promo-materials, medical input to various projects, support of commercial colleagues for campaigns,…). • I provide external medical information to customers on the whole Baxter portfolio, in exchange with the Medical Team of the DACH-cluster and HQ. I support on-going clinical studies and investigator initiated trials. I attend scientific congresses to interact with KOLs (and for personal training), train our Sales Reps on new publications/indications/products and make sure that my direct report is able to achieve his goals. • Being able to overlook the whole portfolio and many commercial projects gives me the opportunity to see possible synergistic effects of our various business units and to facilitate information sharing within the Swiss affiliate and within the cluster. • Working in mid-size pharma as Medical in a small country requires close interaction with / contribution to not only Marketing & Sales, but also various other functions (RA, PV, QA, Market Access,…). Here I profit from understanding the different responsibilities and ways of working of these functions to find solutions that add value in an unbureaucratic and compliant way.
