Manage a department of 6 engineers that perform tooling and manufacturing feasibility aswell as performing moldflow and moldflow presentations. All product designs are managed and audited through our group. All moldflow and feasibility presentations are managed executed and presented by our group. Weekly presentations are delivered to the OEMs on a weekly basis. All global tooling standards are organized revised and continually updated by our group. Approximately $25M in tooling dollars passes through our group annually with the group evenly divided between moldflow and feasibility
Led, managed and technically spearheaded fully automated bulkhead and AGS injection molding for all new OEM programs. This included creation of all new mold specifications and RFQ s precisely determining all tooling and processing requirements. Sourcing and following all injection tools and EOA equipment and installation into the plant. Processes involved complex EOA insert molding and glass filled related technologies. All tools were sourced overseas in Korea and China and product designs directed from Honda Japan. All tools achieved target cycle times and scrap targets
JCI Led and managed Nissan seating program and GM Interiors (IPs,Floor Consoles,Door Panel) and – plastic molding tooling activities from product design concept through industrialization and into full volume production. Responsible for advising design for manufacturability issues to product designers. Compiled recommendations for mold concepts and problem solved for injection molded part suppliers particularly in two shot molding. Audited all tooling and tooling modification quotes for purchasing.
