My first job in logistics was a billing clerk for DHL-Milwaukee in the late 80's. From billing, I moved to customer service on the #1 phone with a 100+ daily call volume. Then came Airfreight Operations and, within 5 years, to Airfreight Sales and Operations Manager...twice voted Employee-of-the-Year. Luckily, I timed my exit just before DHL scaled back their USA footprint. I jumped on board my family's title insurance business for a good ten-year ride, then moved on to International Delivery Solutions where I streamlined their receiving process with a self-written database program, implemented a USPS-approved e-commerce shipping platform and, eventually, took over Operations and Logistics(see more in Experience below). Now, as a broker at Direct Drive Logistics, I incorporate my past perspective...to your benefit.
