Responsible for Italian Entity balance sheet integrity, accounts reconciliation, month end close; People management; Coordination of internal and external statutory audit (entity audited by big 4 firms); Coordination of the preparation of the full set of statutory financial statements and related analysis; Ongoing cooperation with Finance Business Partners; Responsible for direct and indirect tax compliance, being directly involved in tax audits conducted by the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate); Accountable for internal controls and standardization of the same within the region; Power of attorney with authority to sign contracts, release payments and approve invoices; Authorization of payroll; Approval and release of Bad Debts Provision; Active participation in Board of Directors and Shareholders' meetings.
Responsible for high quality, timely reporting for tax and statutory purposes, providing ad-hoc analysis and decision support to the business; Preparation and analysis of the full set of statutory financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, notes to the statement and management report; Resolve issues identified during the compliance process and escalating them if necessary to Country Controller and Regional Tax Manager; Analysis of payroll accounts, including severance and restructuring accounts; Cooperate with third party tax service providers; Ongoing reconciliation between local GAAP and IFRS balance sheet and P&L; Build relationships with Cluster teams and in-country Finance Business Partner; Provide regular compliance reports and updates to Country Controller and Regional Tax Manager; Work with financial reporting accountants to identify and provide data requested by tax authorities; Standardise approach in data gathering by working closely with delivery teams in GBS centres; Identify process improvements and work with Country Controller and Regional Tax Manager to implement changes; Act as first point of contact for tax authorities and external auditors; Ensure that transactions are documented, in compliance with group standards (including the Minimum Acceptable Practices) and, where relevant, SOX requirements; Responsible for Cash Flow forecasting; Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly VAT Returns and Esterometro; Subject matter expert for VAT related topics; Analysis and approval of journal entries for the Italian entity; Approval of balance sheet account reconciliations; Collect and prepare Transfer Pricing documentation for tax purposes; Act as a backup for the Country Controller; Yearly preparation of statutory Fixed Assets book.
Complex financial analysis of statutory accounts and conversion from management GAAP to local GAAP; On-going review of statutory accounts and adjustment bookings; Preparation of statutory balance sheet reviews and fiscal profit and loss reviews with focus on reconciliation between management and statutory accounting; Responding to any day-to-day queries on companies in scope; Liaising with the business owners and finance to clear any errors or omissions; Liaising with external auditors to investigate and respond to all audit queries; Leading external audit activities in order to meet legal deadlines for submission of the financial statements; Preparation of annual set of financial statements and applicable notes in accordance with the local GAAP, including balance sheet, income statement, equity statement, and cash flow statement; Keeping the local GAAP asset accounts database updated; Monitoring standard activities in order to assess potential balance sheet risk areas and prepare a quarterly balance sheet review; Monitoring accounting correctness of transactions in the books; Preparation of National Statistics Forms; Monthly preparation and presentation of transfer pricing margins in line with the corporate guidelines; Preparation of the legal only quarterly intercompany charges for services delivery entities to beneficiary entities; Preparation of operating expenses legal variance analysis as per local chart of account requirements; Training colleagues on statutory tasks; Planning and leading Audit Committees on the owned entities; Working as Subject Matter Expert on IC billing topics.
