I joined MitonOptimal in 2013 being responsible for supporting MitonOptimal’s existing client relationships as well as seeking new partnerships for the business. My business development objective is to promote our DFM services to the advisory and intermediary FSP market in order to provide investments that are expertly managed; that their onboarding, compliance, reporting and regulatory responsibilities are in order and peace of mind that they have an experienced investment partner to lean on. I joined the finance industry in 1997 and have held various client facing roles at Lisps and Investment Managers. I'm a Key Individual and hold an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. The 2 modules were: Principles in Portfolio Planning & Management and Asset Types & Investment Instruments. I have a Diploma in Financial Markets & Instruments.

    I head up the Discretionary Fund Management (DFM) implementation side of the business where my responsibilities are to set up model portfolios at the Lisps and ensure that all rebalances / switches within the models are implemented at the respective Lisps. We co-ordinate the Investment Committee Meetings with our DFM partners, minute the meetings and ensure sign off of previous minutes by KI's of both parties. We provide monthly reporting in the form of CIS buy lists / model portfolio reports & portfolio sheets to the DFM Partners Investment Committee members. We also ensure that we report 1/4 to our DFM partners clients that are in the respective models which we manage on a discretionary basis. We oversees that client mandates are signed off correctly and filed accordingly to adhere to compliance requirements.
