During my time at North America Tour Hub I was introduced to a number of different roles. These included finance and accounting, digital marketing and administration. I joined the company at a difficult time during the pandemic, so was able to experience the pressures of keeping up with the external environment e.g., changing consumer needs. I was able to see first-hand how the pandemic was affecting sales and revenue through monitoring the finances and accounts. I learned how to target relevant social media campaigns to potential customers and gain a following on social media platforms, as well as undergoing a dramatic change in the company’s structure. This meant that many aspects of the company’s product portfolio needed modifying and in some cases, completely re-working. Working in such high pressure environments allowed me to strengthen my skill set and prepare me for future corporate level positions.
This role involved shadowing an accountant, involving filing invoices, tracking orders from customers and also tracking the receipts of payment from each of these customers.
