-Conducting research and writing 1-2 articles daily -Reporting on a diverse range of topics, including arts activism, international current events, archaeological discoveries, and more -Attending and reporting on off-site events, including protests and other actions -Proactively pitching news and analysis daily, and working with editors to develop and expand Hyperallergic's art coverage
-Handling new and existing student memberships, billing, attendance, and satisfaction -Driving new student acquisition and outreach through phone calls, texts, emails, and off-site events -Fostering and maintaining local partnerships with small businesses -Teaching art classes and camps for grades K-2 and 3-5 -Setting up, taking down, and properly sanitizing and storing studio equipment and supplies
-Managing a team of teaching artists and administrative professionals in a learning environment for contemporary art and design on Long Island within an expanding, national network of One River Schools -Leading new student acquisition, community partnerships, and member satisfaction through expert communication, high attention to detail, and consistent local outreach -Continuing as an art instructor in order to understand the needs of both educators and students alike, enabling a higher standard of dedication from teaching staff, and high student retention through quality instruction and outstanding student outcomes
-Handling new student on-boarding, existing memberships, and member satisfaction -Developing relationships with new students or parents of K-12 campers -Maintaining and developing local partnerships with small businesses -Setting up, taking down, and sanitizing studio equipment, materials, and supplies -Maintaining a safe and sanitary studio environment (sanitizing, requiring mask use, enforcing social distancing, ventilation etc.) -Teaching art classes for grades K-5
Worked with a team of 15 other docents for the Yayoi Kusama’s solo exhibition, “EVERY DAY I PRAY FOR LOVE” (2019). Responsibilities included: - protecting the work and exhibition space from damage -directing the flow of traffic for the new Infinity Room -answering general and specific questions about Kusama and the featured works -working private events after-hours to provide an exclusive, VIP experience for clients and special guests
-Independently supervised the use of Rabbit and Epilog laser cutters at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Art Fabrication labs. -Regularly assisted students with CAD files, materials, and machine settings. -Preserved a safe and sanitary workspace by reporting malfunctioning equipment to facilities technicians and practicing fire prevention methods.
