About

Hey There 👋! I'm Robert, a Computer Science student at York University who's passionate about technology and always looking for the next challenge to tackle. My technical background consists of development, infrastructure, systems and DevOps. One of my favourite parts about this field is being part of a team of passionate individuals where you're all figuring things out together, bouncing ideas off each other, and celebrating when something finally clicks. Those moments of collaboration, whether we were improving processes or tackling a tricky problem, reminded me why I love this field. I'm a big believer in hard work and constantly learning. Tech moves fast, and I think that's exciting. Whether I'm picking up a new scripting language, figuring out how to streamline a process, or diving into a project I've never tackled before, I'm all in. I also think the best work happens when people collaborate and share knowledge. We all bring different perspectives, and that's where the magic happens. However, as much as new tech is exciting, I am also a firm believer of being cautious and only implementing and developing with purpose. Just because a new flashy tool comes out, doesn't mean its better in any way than established tech. Having a proper philosophy in technical implementations is key. Right now, I'm President of the Computing Students Hub at York, where I get to organize events and workshops for our community of 2000+ members. It's taught me a lot about leadership, but more importantly, about building genuine connections and creating spaces where people feel supported and excited to learn together. Always happy to connect with others who are passionate about technology, teamwork, and continuous growth & Improvement! Feel free to reach out! P.S If you have read this far and checked out my profile your probably wondering: "What the heck is TCB Compliance", well, TCB = Taking Care of Business. (Bonus points if you know the reference). Just a little joke to poke fun at some of the ridiculous headers on this platform. 😂
