I have a professional career in two different fields. Graduated from Amsterdam's Film Academy in Documentary Directing and Cinematography, I specialize in cinematography for documentaries. In 2015 I graduated with honors from the University of Amsterdam in the field of Clinical Psychology (Master of Science). I currently combine my work as a documentary cinematographer with fulfilling work as a therapist in psychotherapy. I also work as an independent coach and psychologist at my private practice psychotherapy.amsterdam. I am a full member of NSC (Netherlands Society of Cinematographers), registered Psychologist at NIP (Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen) and Master Psychologist for Children and Adolescents at SKJ (Stichting Kwaliteitsregister Jeugd).
Over the last twenty odd years I have concentrated on shooting mainly documentaries. This field is my love, my life. The combination of having the creative freedom to express a visual story and trying to convey the emotions of our characters to a larger public of viewers doesn't ever fail to fascinate me. Wherever I am, every moment looking through a lens fullfills me with a deep joy and fascination. I hope to be able to continue this work as long as physically possible.
