• A working professional with experience in communications, publishing and film & TV production, in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. A creative by nature, I am enthusiastic about diversity, equity and inclusion, and have written for diverse publications on gender and race representation in arts & culture • I worked as a communications adviser for Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) at central government level in Wellington supporting Fisheries New Zealand and New Zealand Food Safety on external communications. During this time, I took up a role as Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator for MPI’s Women’s Network Committee • Outside of work, I’m part of the support team for SAFTAC (South Asians in Film, TV & Arts Collective), which works to champion diversity and inclusion on screen within the UK • Previously, I’ve been a communications adviser at a New Zealand local government level, including supporting The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery / Len Lye Centre and Essex Safeguarding Boards • My freelance writing background includes being UK Assistant Editor for Brown Girl Magazine, copywriting, B2B publishing and contributing to arts & culture publications like The Music and Reform the Funk • I’ve also worked in community radio broadcasting as a TV and short film production assistant, including on Sky/HBO drama series The Third Day, and was a mentee on both The Production Guild’s and Screenskills mentorship schemes (2021)

Marketing Support for Brown Women Comedy 2024: creating impactful PR & content plans: ● Promoted Brown Women Comedy national tour: Australia’s biggest line-up of South Asian women comedians: 2900+ tickets sold across 31 shows at Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne & Sydney Comedy Festivals ● Designed and delivered media campaign; press releases had national media coverage and top reviews (outlets inc. ABC, SBS, Women’s Agenda and ArtsHub). ● Delivered marketing plan to promote the tour: story ideas, planning and scheduling content across social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) and email campaigns (Mailchimp), creating new web content including comedian bios/profiles. ● Project Co-ordinator to deliver inclusive arts workshops (funded by City of Melbourne) for South Asian women in stand-up comedy. Lead on marketing and promotion (resulted in 60 EOIs nationwide) and a showcase event at Queen Victoria Women's Centre.
