Launched start of shift meetings for improved communication and daily coordination of plan from supervisors to crew as well as a platform to introduce daily stretching program. Implemented 6S at a pilot work center to include tool storage, sustained operator ownership, and auditing.
Managed the daily manufacturing operations of a three shift flexible packaging department (4 shift supervisors, 67 personnel). Interim responsibility for department performance in safety, quality, delivery, and P&L during plant implementation of IL6S. Assumed role of a nighttime superintendent August 2015, responsible for entire packaging plant production and sanitation during third shift. Coached all employees on individual work plans using IL6S approach. Launched Ergonomic Team, using Humantech approach, conducted assessments for high-risk tasks. (3+ yrs). Commercialized multiple new SKUs, downsized packaging materials to harmonize shipper and caddy size, and transitioned entire SKU line of film to new preferred vendor.
