Support manufacturing by managing production output and delivering time- critical components to execute on master schedule as well as respond to unanticipated changes in production schedule. Maintain accurate open work order lines to define target build quantities, identify system demand or BOM issues, and resolve inventory discrepancies. Support maintenance of MRP master data parameters to ensure signals for quantity and dates generated by MRP( i.e. production lead times, lot sizing and safety stock) to minimize excess. Monitor KPIs for assigned areas of production in order to track material and prevent excess inventory. Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to coordinate Engineering change orders (ECOs) to plan for material and product end of life (EoL) and minimize obsolescence. I also, identify potential production risk to align processes with production plan milestones.
Manages personnel on a daily basis (coaching); Manages training that’s needed for employees (mentoring); Manages Kronos reports; Manages direct labor reports; Manages employee cross training; Oversees production flow; Insures quality; Works closely with team core members; Knowledgeable in MES/EPS systems; Ensures all manufacturing documents are current, correct, and distributed where required; Identifies creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining process; Follows escalation path to insure timely resolution; Continually monitors status of the production line; Adheres to safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor; Sustains the 5S process; Ensures proper stocking and availability of operation supplies and equipment; Assists in the coordination of production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment; Conducts daily shift meetings; Reviews daily schedule, coordinates, and communicates changes; Ensures the line employees read, understand, and adhere to appropriate policies and procedures; Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality products.
