About

I have been a career Deputy District Attorney for over 27 years where I proudly serve the people of Los Angeles County. I am a seasoned trial attorney and have developed an expertise in prosecuting crimes targeting some of the most vulnerable victims in our community, children. In addition to handling child abuse and molestation cases, I also specialize in prosecuting crimes involving rape, domestic violence, elder abuse, hate crimes, and murder relating to these areas. Currently, I am a Deputy-In-Charge supervising attorneys handling these types of specialized cases. As a trial attorney, I have conducted approximately 70 felony jury trials and approximately a dozen misdemeanor trials. In 1994, I received my law degree from Columbia Law School. I earned my undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley in 1989. I also attended the London School of Economics for a year of study in the fields of psychology and economics. Prior to my time at the District Attorney’s Office, I worked as an intern at the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. I have also held jobs as a paralegal, shop clerk, and fast-food worker. I currently live in the South Bay with my husband, two kids, dog and cat. As a judge, I would treat everyone who appears in court with dignity and respect. I would apply the law equally and fairly to all, regardless of race, color, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation/identity, or socio-economic status. With my strong work ethic, I will strive to increase courtroom efficiency and prevent cases from languishing without cause in the court system. Finally, I strongly believe that politics has no place in the courtroom. All decisions will be made in an open and transparent manner with the highest ethical standards in mind.
