• Accountable for overall workforce strategy, hiring, performance management, budget management, and talent development for the Claims Modernization IT team consisting of 6 direct reports and over 150 indirect reports. • Responsible for the technology delivery of Claims Modernization Platform work streams including: access management, navigation, external data integrations, migration planning, and testing strategy. • Led delivery of multiyear strategic initiative to modernize the claims platforms from pre-adjudication thru post adjudication.

• Managed PM practice standards and responsible for collaborating across the delivery organization to create an annual roadmap of practice uplift. • Accountable for understanding the strategic roadmap of the enterprise and tying that to the PMO capabilities, services, and strategy. • Managed 34 IT and Business Project Managers including workload, development plans, training plans, performance, and meeting project and program standards. • Developed teams capability expertise in reporting and analytics, finance, marketing, facilities, and customer contact center and created and fostered relationships in each of these capability areas.
• Managed SOX compliance initiative for a large online retailer. Led IT initiatives and collaborated closely with the business line, internal audit, and external audit teams. The project required: analyzing the flow of financial data across a complex and constantly changing platform, identifying risks, implementing controls, collaborating with the business line, and providing accurate status to leadership. • Managed a team of 4 consultants, the project budget and forecast as well as financial reporting to IT management.
• Managed a Business Process Mapping project for a large mortgage bank. This project consisted of coordinating and communicating across 9 internal organizations and a core team of 15 analysts and process engineers. The project evaluated and mapped over 400 business processes via TIBCO’s Business Studio. In addition to the “as is” mapping, the core team collaborated with risk experts to identify, rank and rate over 500 risks. The final piece of this enterprise wide effort was to review and evaluate all processes and risks with senior leaders across the enterprise and finally collaborate with these leaders to mitigate or resolve the most pressing issues. • Served as senior data analyst for a group of process engineers supporting a large mortgage bank’s default mortgage organization. Mentored other data analysts on the team, facilitated the examination of complex business problems, and created tools to quickly analyze data in a repeatable and consistent fashion.
• Managed a large multi-year program to replatform over 30 disparate incentive compensation systems to pay brokers and sales force. The program management entailed: driving and negotiating the vendor selection process, managing an annual budget of over $5 MM, managing a development, testing, analyst and production support team of over 30 people, and running at least 2 implementations at any given period. The 1.0 implementation removed 3 high-risk user managed applications from the portfolio, and paid nearly 400 brokers. • Managed a team of 4 associates to create an intranet site that facilitated sophisticated searching of 35,000 pieces of content stored in 4 Lotus Notes Databases. The project leveraged the Lotus Notes meta-data as well as the Verity K2 search engine to index and crawl the content resulting in the desired content within the first 10 hits. • Led a large WebMethods implementation to enable the administration of group policies via the intranet. Managed a team of 6 developers, 2 analysts, and 4 QA. This implementation reduced the overpayment of accounts by over $2MM per year.
• Change agent for creating a team of analysts that supported all projects within Institutional Small Market Applications. Led 7 analysts across 4 projects. Worked closely with 4 development managers to facilitate the requirements and analysis phase of these projects. • Created and implemented an intake system to manage small projects and work requests. A team of 18 developers and analysts facilitated this process.
• Part of a team that designed, developed and deployed a large internet application that determined high speed internet availability by zip code. • Developed business components using Visual Basic. Designed and developed portions of the SQL Server 7 database and performed a migration to SQL Server 2000. Wrote complex Transact SQL stored procedures and ad-hoc queries. • Worked with a small team to prototype a Microsoft Content Management Server (CMS) solution for a large airline company. Created functionality to showcase the ease with which CMS allows content to be added and maintained in a web site. • Served as the technical team lead of 6 developers for the front-end development of a technical resource center website using CMS for a large data storage company. Served as a database analyst and software developer in the agricultural and construction manufacturing industry.
