I have been involved on a major client at Willis SA and responsible mainly for claims handling. I was involved in setting up a claims system with a live aggregate erosion funtion. My duties further included client reports and Underwriter reports, processes and system enhancements. In Jan 2013 I moved to the Projects team and worked on implementing a multi-client platform with a live aggregate erosion and multi currency exhange rate functionality.
I started in the Legal Department as a Recovery / Third Party Claims Consultant responsible for recoveries and third party claims settlement. I was promoted to a Team Leader, then an Assistant Manager and eventually to an Operations Manager responsible for approximately 4-5 team leaders with their consultants (4-5 per team). The Legal department included Recoveries / Third Parties / Liabilties and Salvage. I transferred to the Claims Department to gain Commercial Claims experience and worked as the Operations Manager: Claims for approximately 6 months before accepting a position at Willis.
I started at M&F in the Legal Department as a Recovery & Third Party Claims Consultant. I was responsible for the full recovery and third party claims process. I transferred to the Ermelo branch for Underwriting experience but eventually ended up starting in the claims department attending to personal and commercial and agri claims. I then transferred to the Benoni branch and worked as a Personal Non Motor Claims Consultant.
