I am a Phlebotomist with 5 years of experience in community health, clinical laboratory, whit most of my work being with non-profit organizations. I have a strong passion for HIV prevention and LGBTQIA+ health with 4 years of experience working in sexual health and HIV care and am certified as a HIV and Hep C Test Counselor. I just received my Associates for Transfer and now a Public Health major at San Francisco State University.
Health Screener for various community centers and events such as Stones Town YMCA, China Town YMCA, Project Homeless Connect performing glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure and bone density screening and education.
process and prep any incoming specimens for laboratory testing in Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Coagulation departments. On occasion assist the CLS with any specimens running through machines and data entry for STAT specimens. Run report for any un-resulted specimens throughout the day, and prep microbiology specimens for shipment.
