My experience goes from co managing technology focused SME to being directly involved in operation and project management. I designed several consumer products distributed worldwide and managed industrialization of such products. As Co-Owner & Technical Director at Fractal Systems, I lead the design, development and delivery of cutting-edge immersive technology solutions, blending engineering, creativity and innovation to bring unique experiences to life. Key Responsibilities: Define and drive the technical vision, product innovation, and system architecture. Lead teams in designing, prototyping, and manufacturing kinetic/mechatronic structures, LED/anamorphic screens, interactive displays, 3D mapping, facade lighting and immersive installations. Highlights / Achievements: Successfully launched multiple large-scale immersive installations for events, public spaces and permanent installations. Involved in more than 30 projects at Expo 2020. Spearheaded the development of proprietary technologies (e.g. kinetic DNA) combining mechanical, electronic and software systems. Built a technical team capable of taking ideas from concept to prototype to full delivery, maintaining high standards across disciplines.
Lead the design, industrialization and marketing of new technical products from Dubai. Since 2009, I have been designing and manufacturing foils and eFoils, I manage the roadmap from start to finish — design → prototypes → field tests → industrial series — with a requirement for execution and reproducibility. Through our Mother company Fractal systems, we have setup the first Virtual Production Studio in the region. Virtual production replaces common green background filming with an LED Volume (display) and camera tracking allowing cameraman and film directors to directly see computer generated environments while filming. We Designed the studio specification, implemented them and operated it. The studio has helped numerous car makers, luxury brands, music artists to create stunning video content thanks to cutting edge filming technology.
I am fully in charge of developing the business by means of marketing, specifying the products with consultants, selling to client and setting up some strong partners in each country. I am also conducting training sessions for the partners so that they can have a basic technical knowledge and go to the market and sell ABB products I am dealing with. ABB is a world leader in wiring accessories but was almost not present in the gulf till date. I successfully managed to launch the product ranges in the gulf in 2007 and we expect 3 times turnover in 2008.
I Work on major 400kV electrical substations in Dubai (Jebel Ali L phase 1, Bukadra and Jafza) and in Sharjah (Al Dhaid). My responsibilities are the local coordination for the transportation of equipment with the French and site teams, clearing equipment with the customs, handling shipping documents and annexes. I also set up processes for payments through L/C, and ensure payments are effectively made on time. Occasionally I deal with local purchasing and services for the local office, and give support to the site manager for planning and progress reports.
