The ELYgator project is Air Liquides first large scale electrolyser project in the Benelux. 160 MW of PEM electrolysers and 40 MW Alkaline electrolysers will be designed, built, commissioned and operated in Rotterdam Maasvlakte to enable RFNBO H2 production before 2028. As project director i am responsible for the safe construction and testing of the unit within budget and schedule. Part of the job is the budget accountability, contract negotiations with contractors and suppliers and managing the engineering, construction, subsidy and project management teams working on the project. There is a direct reporting line to the investment comittee and general management. Encouraging the RIDE team spirit to all stakeholders, Air Liquides major investment will result in a solid corner stone for the decarbonisation of our Benelux industrial assets and it will help the industry in their energy transition to a CO2 neutral future!
Site responsible for the overall safe, reliable and efficient operation of 5 production units in the Antwerp region which are operated by 76 colleagues. Coaching the maintenance, production, technology and SHEQ managers on site to achieve the common goals with regards to climate, customer satisfaction and operational excellence. By daily stakeholder management with the different customers, local authorithies, labour unions and other external groups, our presence in the strategic port of Antwerp is strenghted and stronger relations are being built enabling long term sustainable production and growth. The Antwerp site is managing several new investment projects including the first pilot scale ammonia cracker to produce CO2 free hydrogen and the development of a CO2 capture unit for our existing SMR units. With the large experience and knowledge of hydrogen production units, the site strongly contributes to the Air Liquide sustainability roadmap, an achievement by the team which makes me a proud and motivated site manager.
Responsible for the operation of 5 production plants at the Antwerp site, leading a team of 50 colleagues, consisting of operators, engineers and managers. Together we work towards operational excellence in our daily and long term sustainable production of industrial gasses taking into account, local and environmental regulation, group procedures, CLA's and climate challenges. On the site +40ME investments will be handled in the coming year by the site team in cooperation with the central project teams. The site and team evolves towards a more automated and digitalised environment to meet and to be ahead, of customer experience and to be future proof.

Results: Overall resource planning for several departments weakly up to date project plans for 20 projects weakly report to management in which opportunities are discussed for faster project completion and possibilities for new projects Contact with suppliers concerning the timetable of transmission for external products Integration of financial plans with time plans.
