About

Hi, I’m Rena! I’m a UC Berkeley Data Science rising junior with an emphasis in Economics, interested in using data to drive product and business decisions. I have hands-on experience applying Python, Pandas, SQL, and dashboarding tools to transform raw data into actionable insights, especially in the edtech space. Through my work as a CSM tutor, I’ve also strengthened my communication and problem-solving skills by helping students understand core data science concepts. Currently, I’m part of the UC Berkeley Data Science Discovery Research Program, where I’m working with CourseWise, an edtech platform by Equivalence Systems. My team is building a dashboard to analyze user engagement, feature usage, and institutional activity, helping CourseWise better understand product usage and identify opportunities for improvement. Through my edtech, teaching, and data science experiences, I hope to bring a unique perspective to teams working at the intersection of product, analytics, and technology. Technical skills: Python, Pandas, NumPy, SQL, data analysis, data visualization, basic machine learning Focus areas: analytics, experimentation, applied ML, business-facing data science I’m actively seeking Summer 2026/2027 internships in Data Science, Analytics, or Machine Learning, particularly in the Bay Area. I’m excited to learn from strong teams, take ownership of meaningful projects, and continue growing as a data scientist. Portfolio: https://renas20.github.io/index.html Email: [email protected]
