𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 I bring over 20 years of leadership experience building and advising healthcare, MedTech, and digital health initiatives across emerging and growth markets. I spent a significant part of my career with GE Healthcare in senior leadership roles across the Middle East and Africa, supporting healthcare providers and governments on imaging, IT, and digital health programs. I later joined WSP in the Middle East, advising governments, large developers, and healthcare operators on healthcare infrastructure, smart hospitals, and national transformation initiatives. Over time, I transitioned into Operating Partner and advisory roles with digital health and MedTech ventures, supporting founders, boards, and investors on market entry, partnerships, and scale across the GCC, Africa, and Asia. With WSP, I designed and implemented a comprehensive Go-to-Market strategy focused on Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Sustainable Healthcare, and Smart and Digital Health advisory. Moreover, I guided PPP Healthcare opportunities by providing Technical Advisory support to key developers in Saudi Arabia and UAE. I also played a pivotal role in business corporate initiatives on Future Readiness and Digital Transformation. • Drove sales across business units by leading the development and expansion of Property and Buildings Healthcare Business throughout the Middle East. • Enhanced brand visibility through external communication efforts in the Middle East Healthcare sector, such as article writing, podcasts, social media influence, and participation in Healthcare and PPP events. • Contributed as a valued member of the WSP Healthcare Global board and SMART Hospital Global Steering Committee.
With GE Healthcare, I spearheaded the Commercials, Delivery, and Customer Care teams for Clinical Care Solutions Digital across Eastern Growth Markets. I formed a new division dedicated to software delivery to ICU and Anesthesia management, and Labor and Delivery. I also executed Go-to-Market strategies and product launches for a new Tele-ICU platform, alongside developing country entry strategy in EGM. I led project delivery processes while ensuring absolute customer satisfaction. Coordinated the product development process with the global team as per regional requirements, market trends, and customer needs. • Efficiently built world-class Commercials, Delivery, and Support teams comprising 6+ members within the EGM. • Successfully launched the Mural platform (Tele-ICU) at Araba Health 2019. • Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities by co-creating projects and defining value propositions for Large National Programs aimed at Healthcare Modernization and Digitization in Saudi Arabia. • Expanded market reach by cultivating strong partnerships and spearheading new country entries in UAE, Turkey, and Kuwait.
I led Business Development and Solution Selling initiatives, particularly focusing on large governmental transformation programs within the healthcare sectors. Engaged in indirect channel management to augment sales opportunities. I ensured customer success through proactive engagement and excellent customer experience. Additionally, I co-created projects and defined value propositions for Large National Programs in Healthcare Modernization and Digitization in Kenya, Algeria, and Uganda. • Hired and established high-performing Commercials, Delivery, and Customer Care teams of 15+ members across Africa for GE Healthcare Digital, building world-class delivery and support capacities to meet market demands. • Efficiently held full $35M Sales P&L responsibilities for all African regions, covering Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western territories.
In this role, I supervised the Africa Commercial team, steering all operational elements. I developed and implemented Go-to-Market Commercial and Marketing strategies to achieve business objectives. Oversaw indirect channels, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and Suppliers. Also, I led Regional Business Development efforts. Maintained relationships with Public and Government Health Affairs in Africa. Recruited skilled Healthcare IT talents in Africa. • Established a successful business entity and team in Algeria, resulting in annual orders worth $2M. • Achieved notable victory in the Digital Critical Care business segment in South Africa, securing key contracts valued at $2M in both public and private sectors. • Recognized with the GE Healthcare IT CEO Global Award for Life Healthcare in 2017 in South Africa.
