I have spent 17 years building and leading teams in the Microsoft cloud and security space. I started as a hands-on identity consultant, spent eight years as a Microsoft V-TSP working alongside Microsoft's own technical specialists, and grew into leadership roles where I ran multiple engineering teams across identity, cloud platform, infrastructure, and DevOps at Lumagate/Innofactor and later TietoEVRY, where I led Public Cloud Norway as VP. Through all of that, one thing stayed constant: I never stopped being technical. I led an organization of around 300 people and managed P&L at a publicly listed company, but I also kept building, debugging, and shipping. I think that is what makes me effective as a leader in this space. I understand what my teams are solving because I have solved it myself. In 2022 I co-founded Fortytwo. As COO I run operations and a team of 40+ engineers and consultants working across cloud, security, identity, and platform engineering in the Microsoft ecosystem. We also build products. Universe, our identity lifecycle platform, extends Microsoft Entra ID with the management and governance capabilities that enterprises need but do not get out of the box. Right now I am spending most of my time on the intersection of AI and enterprise infrastructure. Agentic systems, non-human identities, and what happens when your governance model needs to scale beyond humans. I write about what I learn along the way.

The Microsoft Virtual Technology Solution Program (V-TSP) is a select group chosen from the elite in Microsoft’s partner community, whose focus is to augment Microsoft’s internal Technology Specialist team. Their primary role is to communicate the value of Microsoft Solutions to customers and to provide architectural guidance for Enterprise Integration solutions. The Microsoft VTSP program was designed to create a deeper relationship with Microsoft Partners, the Product Teams at Microsoft Corporate, and Regional Microsoft Offices, in order to provide highly skilled solution specialists to Microsoft customers. It is designed to enable a high performance team of partner-based resources to deliver pre-sale activities and resources to empower customers and help them meet their solution and integration needs.
