As a Project Team Representative (PTR), I represent the Department of Translational Safety & Bioanalytical Sciences on cross-functional and multidisciplinary drug discovery and drug development teams at Amgen as a Core Team Member. Worldwide Safety Sciences Toxicologic & Regulatory Pathology: Project team representative to cross-functional immunology biology project teams. Responsible for assuming a leadership role in influencing decisions relevant to drug safety and risk management, biomarker utilization, issue resolution, regulatory inquires, and advancement of therapeutic proteins and small molecules in early stages of development. Discovery & Investigative Pathology: Pathology expertise and scientific leadership provided for design and conduct of studies to address mechanisms of toxicity and leverage of information to proactively identify potential safety issues and assist with lead optimization efforts across multiple therapeutic areas. Responsible for coordinating and co-leading interdepartmental activities and collaborative research efforts to develop innovative translational safety biomarkers for small molecule and therapeutic protein programs as a project team representative.
