Current: Researcher & writer ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have retired from the position of IBM Certified Senior Managing Process Consultant in the IBM Global Business Services (GBS), Cloud Application Innovation (CAI) Transition and Transformation Services organization. I supported companies is multiple industries. I led Services Transition and RFP solutions. I worked with the IBM Client Support Executives and Transition Solution Managers to develop solution documents, review cost cases, technical and transition solutions, and performed SOW reviews. I have served as the initial End-to-End Transition Manager on projects. I am an expert in the ITIL® Framework and deploy ITIL® based operational processes. I am also expert in developing training material and conducting training in these areas. I led independent process consultant projects. My recent activities included developing system / software development lifecycle (SDLC) WBS and templates for maintenance, enhancement, and agile processes. I am a former SEI authorized CMM Instructor and CBA-IPI Appraiser, and a CMMI Instructor and candidate SCAMPI Appraiser. I have conducted CMM/CMMI training, conducted CBA-IPI appraisal, and participated in SCAMPI appraisals. I participated in as an AMS facilitator for the IBM Ticket Productivity Assessment Workshop (TPAW) program. I am a former systems engineer, application programmer, and application development manager.

I have multiple roles as a Process Consultant and ITIL® V3 Foundation Certified Consultant. As a Process Consultant, I assist commercial accounts in the development and institutionalization of process assets during Transition and Transformation projects. I lead Technical Working Groups in the definition, building, and deployment of ITIL® based ITSM procedures. I also assist in improving SDLC approaches – waterfall and agile. In this role I perform gap analysis based on the ITIL® and CMMi® frameworks. I conduct training classes and workshops. I also assist in RFP solution activities. I provide process improvement solutions and assist in the document preparation, orals, and client education workshops. I conduct independent appraisals of process areas through documentation reviews, interviews, and other analytic methods. As a former SEI CMMI Instructor, SEI Candidate SCAMPI Appraiser, and a SCAMPI Appraisal Team member, I provided Introduction to CMMI training to various US commercial accounts. I also conducted CMMi gap analysis, informal readiness reviews (SCAMPI B), and various Level 3 - 5 appraisal preparation activities. As a former CBA-IPI Authorized Lead Assessor, I conducted and led formal and informal SW-CMM based assessments and reviews at commercial accounts. I have taught the Introduction to the CMM course and the CBA-IPI Team Training. I was the lead appraiser for a large organization involving multiple locations, over 30 interviews and more than 150 interviewees. I also conducted Independent organizational level process reviews.
Systems Engineering for Marketing & Sales: I provided technical system support and sales, and account management support to customers. I supported customers using the IBM S/370 hardware & peripherals, and system software and languages such as MVS, IMS, CICS, COBOL, and Assembler. I conducted sales call, assisted in the installation of hardware and software products, recommended operational standards and procedures for use by the customers, and conducted system capacity studies, benchmarks, developed and delivered presentations to customer executives. Developer, System Analyst & Application Development Manager: I investigated, developed and conducted training sessions for management and programmers in function point analysis. I was also a function point analysis consultant and participated in a study at a customer location for the IBM Sales and Marketing group. I produced reports, measurements, and graphic presentations on quality and defect measurements. I was responsible for deploying new tools for use by the Information Systems (I/S) organization, assisted in the development of a 5-year information system business strategy, and was responsible for the research, coordination and implementation of a I/S security services releases. I managed programmers and contractors responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of application systems. My department was responsible for developing the AD/M library management system used by I/S. My responsibilities also included interviewing prospective employees at college fairs.
