For the past 14+ years, under the banner of my video production company, Bee Charmer Productions, I've produced, written, directed and edited a wide variety of original content as well as commercial, corporate and promotional video work for brands such as Hershey Canada, Toyota, and Merix Financial. When working with clients, my focus is to develop and create engaging content that supports and promotes their brand while highlighting their unique voice and offerings. My credits include editing Emmy award-winning promo spots for Colorado’s Rocky Mountain PBS as well as creating the popular digital series, B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye – a series that garnered over 12.5 million views, and was one of the first indie series to secure distribution on a major platform, running three seasons (2008-2012) on the Logo Network / MTV. My latest original work is a feature documentary film that explores queer representation on telelvision and it's lasting impacts on the LGBTQ+ community. I've worked across many aspects of production including scriptwriting, directing, producing, videography, video editing, lighting, audio production, music composition, motion graphics, and VFX enabling me to take a project wholly from conception to completion. I also have experience with web design, html coding, and website maintenance. Past original productions include documentary, digital series, and short films which have screened at film festivals worldwide. In addition to my video production work I also have an extensive background in theatre administration, ticketing, box office, subscription and patron services, using a variety of software like Tessitura, AudienceView and Ticketmaster. I've worked at the supervisor, coordinator and manager level in event venues across Toronto including the multi-venue Harbourfront Centre, Canon Theatre (now Ed Mirvish Theatre), Toronto Centre for the Arts (now Meridian Arts Centre), and Panasonic Theatre (now CAA Theatre), as well as short term contracts with specialty events like the Toronto International Film Festival, the Molson Indy, and Royal Winter Fair.
I have been producing successful and effective promotional films, video, digital series, short films, documentary, and original content since 2007. BCP is based out of Toronto, Canada, but our clients and team members are all over the world.
