I am a student success advisor (academic) with a background in career coaching. My experiences include advising, resume writing, networking, event planning, marketing and communications, teaching, public speaking, strategic planning, teamwork and more. I believe in doing my best in anything I do and offer excellent interpersonal and work organizational skills with a strong work ethic. My positive attitude extends through everything I do and everyone I meet. I love working with people and learning new things. Originally from Chicago, IL, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History from Western Illinois University and furthered my education at Minnesota State University Mankato, focusing on Counseling and College Student Personnel, and earned my Master of Science. I am deeply passionate about working with college students and am thrilled to rejoin UNCW, where I can apply my career coaching expertise to support and guide students throughout their collegiate journey and beyond. During my free time, I enjoy quality moments with my family and pets, mountain hikes, knitting, and photography. In the CHHS SSC, I will advise a caseload of main campus undergraduates in Exercise Science, Healthful Living and Fitness Education, and Tourism, Recreation, and Sport. Prior to my role as Student Success Advisor, I dedicated 20 years to the Career Center at UNCW, where I offered career coaching to students across campus. I actively participated in, and coordinated, campus initiatives related to sustainability, Move-In, and Taking Flight. My most recent position before coming back to UNCW was as a Virtual Academy Coordinator for New Hanover County Schools, where I oversaw the county's e-Academy program.
