Deputy Director responsible for integrating an active duty staff element with the State National Guard to provide unity of effort in supporting the lead Federal agency to respond effectively to civil support operations, and support our Nation’s citizens in their time of greatest need. - Selected as the primary Title 10 Deputy Command to deploy on short notice to respond to operations and participate in exercises and engagements with a total of 16 states and numerous interagency partners. - Supported Dual-Status Commanders to ensure seamless integration between active duty and National Guard (T10 & T32) forces during hurricane response and COVID-19 support operations. Led and supported the active duty medical and vaccination operations in five states to provide care for over 400,000 US citizens.
Sole USNORTHCOM advisor to Canadian Joint Operations Command (CJOC); provide oversight, advice, and recommendations on operational and strategic level planning, operations, logistics, training, intelligence, communication, and administration for two combatant level commands focused on US, Canadian, and North American security and defense. - Contributed to over 50 operational and strategic exercises and engagements in Washington DC, Ottawa, and Colorado Springs focusing on bi-national defense operations and initiatives, the Arctic, sustainment, and lessons learned.
Deputy director for a Combat Aviation Brigade comprised of four aviation battalions, one aviation support battalion, and one headquarters company. Provided advice and recommendations to the director on day-to-day operations and all aspects of the disposition, composition, and employment of over 3500 personnel, 130 aircraft, and over 1000 pieces of ground equipment, as well as the management of an $8M ground support budget and $62M flying hour program. Assisted the director in integrating aviation assets with supported ground units and synchronizing operations in support of all directives. - While forward deployed to Afghanistan, led the planning and coordination of the retrograde of forces and infrastructure across the unit’s area of operations with no decrement to operational support. - Provided the guidance and oversight for the complex inactivation of the brigade which included the transfer of all personnel and over 30,000 pieces of equipment worth over $700M to other units and the US Army inventory.
Led 270 employees in an Aviation unit comprised of three aviation flight companies, an aviation maintenance company, a Technical Rescue Engineer Company, and a headquarters company that operated 24 UH-72 and UH/VH-60 helicopters as well as several heavy engineer and specialized technical rescue systems. Conducted aviation operations in support of our Nation’s most Senior Leaders, a National level engineer technical rescue mission, and several strategically directed contingency operations. Maintained, upgraded, and employed $102.8M worth of aviation and engineer equipment. Managed and provided direct oversight of a $19M operating budget, and a 4000 hour flying hours program. - Planned and led the execution of all NSSE events to include annual State Funeral rehearsals, two State of the Union Addresses, and support of ceremonies for “Fallen Hero” missions at Dover Air Force Base and Arlington National Cemetery. - Identified over $100K in cost savings to allow the battalion to accomplish all missions without interruption when a world-wide increase in fuel prices threatened the readiness of the unit. - Orchestrated and successfully executed the evacuation of the unit’s aircraft during Hurricane Irene which enabled the unit to quickly respond to follow-on DSCA operations.

Responsible for the readiness, planning, training, and execution of battalion aviation operations while forward deployed to South Korea. Directly responsible for leading 46 employees in the section, and the readiness and training for the remaining 420 employees of the battalion. Accountable for the execution of a 6900 hour flying hour program with a budget of over $45M. - Planned and executed five major aviation exercises, including combined operations with Republic of Korea military forces, as well as all high visibility dignitary visits to include the Secretary of Defense - Rated as the #1 Battalion Operations Officer in the brigade.
Principal advisor and assistant to the director. Led the staff to provide the best personnel administration, security, operations, logistics, and maintenance support for a unit of over 380 employees in the execution of no-fail air traffic services support across the South Korean peninsula. Oversaw the maintenance of 71 vehicles and supporting equipment valued at $42M and management of an annual budget of $650M. - Led the execution of the unit’s complicated transformation without degradation to daily air traffic services support. - Developed and executed the program to remedy over 260 deficiencies found during a major inspection and turned them into commendable programs.
