Hi! I am an undergraduate studying Psychobiology at UCLA, someone who finds joyful purpose in service and dedicates time, energy, and heart into creating a more compassionate, more hopeful world. The human body’s adaptability toward healing and survival increasingly calls to me. Bridging the interdisciplinary knowledge of molecular biology and psychology, psychobiology offers remarkable opportunities for healing efficiently and wholly. • Share and express music to community through various group configurations and creative arrangements • Work with the City of Irvine to provide programs for Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Winter Wonderland • Coordinate logistics for programs and performances at senior facilities and city-wide events • Perform for audience sizes upward of 5k people in outdoor and indoor settings • Conduct ensemble quartets through rehearsals, join musicians to spread joy • Dedicated Pretend City’s Music Room Presenter, spark imagination with upbeat skits, interactive performances
• Manage and update database of over 1,000 Care Extenders across 50 hospital departments • Handle inquiries and process completions, inactivations, health renewals, letters of recommendation • Process all health clearances (TB, CPR, online modules, SPH Training), volunteer statuses, and hour logs
• Provide compassionate care to patients in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, Emergency Department, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Stein Eye Institute, Surgery Center, GONDA, and 8-West Medical-Surgical Unit with high patient-to-nurse ratio • Shadow rounding physicians and observe eye surgeries and medical procedures involving IV, ultrasounds, pain medication
• Assist in cutting-edge ophthalmology research on neuroscience, genetics, molecular biology • Perform cornea dissections, retina embedding, immunostaining, and cryostat sectioning • Manage animal racks involved in retinal degeneration and proteomic development project • Attend seminars and lab meetings on electrophysiology, neuroscience, protein-protein-interaction networks, resurrection of retinal neurons, and foveal cell atlases
• Explore innovation and intelligence in emerging areas of healthcare: genomic medicine, regenerative medicine, nanomedicine, robotics, artificial intelligence, medical technology • Collaborate with physicians and peers to create solutions to advance equitable pediatric healthcare • Redesign neonatal incubator integrating light and sound dampening for neurodevelopmental protection • Won 1st in robotic technology team innovation challenge with pre-operative comfort bot for pediatrics • Shadowed and rounded in NICU, PICU, ED, OR, allergy/immunology, endocrinology, neurology, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, hospitalists, anesthesia, and more • Placed 3rd in final Shark Tank Competition judged by healthcare innovation leaders like CHOC’s Chief Intelligence and Innovation Officer and Senior Data Scientist
