Natural leader responsible for managing a team while overseeing the day-to-day operation and management of a multi-owned resort which is situated on Cowpet Bay on the island of St. Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands. The CBRCA is the condominium owners’ association for The Elysian Beach Resort. Recognized as one of the premier condominium complexes on St. Thomas. The Elysian Beach Resort consists of sixty-three condominiums, with thirty-nine units owned by twenty-nine private owners, and twenty-four units owned by Wyndham as part of their vacation club program. We partner with Wyndham on shared projects, i.e., Wastewater treatment plant and RO System (which provides water to the property), maintain the automatic generator, building maintenance, beach maintenance, hurricane prep/clean up. CBRCA leads all projects with the approval from the BOD. As the general manager I manage all employees, all aspects of the property, and I oversee making sure all owners follow the Rules and Regulations and By-Laws of the Association. I maintain all insurance policies, Property, D&O, General Liability, WC, Unemployment, Auto, and Crime. I also play an intricate role in preparing our annual budget of $800K and reviewing it monthly to ensure the association stays within the set budget. I manage a portfolio of over $3M dollars in business accounts and investment accounts. I manage all invoices, receivables, payables, and delinquencies. I prepare reports and attend monthly Board Meetings. Analyze quarterly financial reports and assist with annual financial audit and budget planning. As a strategist I have generated long-term plans and presented ideas to save association funds. Regularly communicate directly with CBRCA Board of Directors, all of whom live off island. I plan/prepare for Annual Owners Meeting; book meeting space, collaborate directly with catering company to plan the event and distribute information to owners while adhering to association governance documents.
Served as a liaison between Attorney and clients. Assessed Title Searches, Contracts, Lease Agreements and Loan Documents. Prepared Title Packages/ HUDS/Closing Disclosures. Prepared Power of Attorney documents, Trust Agreements, and managed attorney escrow account. Experience sending and receiving electronic funds. I oversaw all aspects of preparation for settlement from the day the contract was initiated to the day of closing the transaction
