I began my career with Greater Manchester West Mental Health Foundation Trust in 2002, when undertaking research for my dissertation as part of my Psychology degree. I joined the Trust bank and returned to University to attain my registered mental health nurse qualification and remained a committed employee for seventeen years. I have a wealth of clinical experience in a variety of settings, these include: inpatient low secure, young person services, medium secure provisions and community services, including crisis resolution/ home based treatment where I was lead for personality disordered service users and Community Mental Health services. Whilst working within clinical services, I was able to work with a wide range of professions and endeavoured to facilitate inter agency liaison, to establish effective coordination and integration of care across health and social care systems, in accordance with The NHS Patient Experience Framework (2012). I was able to work with clients and carers/ care givers with diverse needs, these differing in ages, cultural differences, dual diagnosis, substance misuse, physical health and emotional needs. I have worked collaboratively with clients and families to formulate client centred/driven packages of care, in keeping with the care Programme Approach (CPA), the recovery model and encouraged a positive patient and carer experience with services
