During my career I have worked across various government offices and consultancies in the transport sector predominately working on major infrastructure projects. I have experience in environmental compliance and performance, developing and maintaining Environmental and Sustainability Management Systems and providing environmental and sustainability advice. I'm highly passionate about delivering genuine environment and sustainability outcomes and enhancing the social wellbeing of the community. In my current role at SRLA I have worked across all works packages including drafting technical requirements, participating in tender evaluations, and site visits. I have been a key internal contact, ensuring the LPES team is coordinated and integrated with the systems across the organisation including health and safety, quality, risk, compliance and learning and development. This includes leading the update to the environment and sustainability risk registers for all packages and LPES disciplines. I have a special interest in the social elements of sustainability and environmental science as well as the areas of continual improvement, environmental education, environmental policy, global and social impact, and sustainable development - in particular urban green spaces and water sensitive urban design. As part of this interest I applied and was awarded the Victorian Government’s Women in Transport Scholarship to study a Masters of Environment and Climate Emergency through Curtin University. Prior to working in the environmental field I worked in a variety of administrative roles, developing excellent time management and problem solving skills, as well the ability to review and communicate policy and legislation. In 2016 I started my own small business, which I ran for 3 years. Simultaneously I worked with a start-up company, leading the development of the businesses systems, processes, and writing and implementing companies policies and procedures. I’m a wholistic, critical thinker with the ability to communicate and develop relationships in an honest, friendly way.
