I am a requirements engineer, product owner and UX designer with more than 20 years of experience in development of business applications. My core competencies include business and requirements analysis, user research, interaction and visual design, project management, and best practices for Jira and Confluence. I hold certifications in usability and user experience, enterprise content management, and requirements engineering. Designed and optimized the user interface of a workflow management system for the BA, enabling all employees to submit and process requests. Created a design styleguide aligned with the BA design system and a licensed COTS product (d.velop), developed a unified information architecture, and established consistent layout and visual design for forms to ensure a user-centered, accessible experience. Conducted user acceptance and usability testing with end users, performed heuristic evaluations, and integrated findings into the redesign of the interface, including a user-centered workflow management interface embedded via iFrame in SAP Fiori.
Led product ownership, requirements engineering, UX/UI design, and Scrum coaching for the BagEL project, enabling direct research and editing of employee data from the electronic tax deduction process (ELStAM). Defined product scope, goals, milestones, and a prioritised backlog with epics, user stories, and initiatives; delivered a product roadmap, requirements specification, and internal acceptance of increments. Developed a UX concept integrating accessibility framework (KoliBri) into the BZSt UI styleguide, including user journeys, wireframes, data models, label and icon frameworks, and design components for all views. Coached project and sister teams in Scrum principles, configured Jira and Confluence, and delivered user trainings for both tools.
Served as Requirements Engineer and UX Designer for the creation of a requirements specification for a new archive information system (ITT) of the archive section of the German Bundesbank, clarifying user and business requirements, and delivering business process models, domain models, and data models.
Served as UX/UI Designer to create a consistent UI style guide for all internal web-based applications of the Bundeszentralamt für Steuern (BZSt) (federal office of taxes), defining principles for usability and accessibility, and delivering a comprehensive set of design components based on Atomic Design for future application development.
German Federal Foreign Office – Visa and Passport Applications Advised on product enhancements for visa and passport applications used globally at German diplomatic missions for the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. Coordinated a team of product owners at ISB AG. Oversaw the design of a unified UI styleguide for all related applications and authored a comprehensive user manual for the RK-Geschäft application.
