In the footsteps of and inspired by the books of Mark and Delia Owens (Cry of the Kalahari, The Eye of the Elephant) we started to explore the regions and national parks in the southern parts of Africa. And since our first trip in 2015 we are addicted to the purity of the African wilderness. The pristine wildlife and nature, the offroad adventures and not to forget the wonderful people. Almost everybody seems to smile and dance here. Wow! That's new for us, Europeans. Finally, after 5 years that we read about this magical place, we were there: the Deception Valley. We drove there ourselves in our rented Landcruiser 79 (what a car!). On -for us- almost holy ground. And that first night in the valley we heard it, just the two of us, in the middle of nowhere: the cry of the Kalari. Goosebumps. With my photos and prints I want to create awareness for the African wildlife and nature and the conservation of it. Let's not destroy it...
