Software Engineer on the Display Ads team. Worked on experiments and product improvements for interest-based advertising systems. Explored new feature ideas, built and monitored experiments, and contributed to launches that improved ad quality metrics such as CTR and CPM. This role gave me hands-on experience with large-scale production systems, experimentation, and data-driven product development inside one of the world's largest engineering organizations.
Worked across software engineering and data science projects involving large-scale data processing and identity matching. Built Java applications that processed data at petabyte scale on Hadoop clusters, worked with enterprise engineering tools and workflows, and contributed to product specification and implementation work. On the data science side, explored supervised learning models for identity matching and built a tuned random forest model that improved naive matching rates by more than 10%.
Designed and taught a competitive math curriculum for high school students preparing for AMC 10/12 and AIME. Helped launch the program as an instructor, developing materials for advanced students and teaching problem-solving techniques for math competitions.
