The foundation was established in 2001 and its objective is to organize and finance independent award elections for the industry. The foundation underwent a name change in 2017. The foundation then moved from Thuiswinkel Awards to Shopping Awards. With the presentation of the Shopping Awards, the foundation aims to make a positive contribution to e-commerce - selling products and / or services online to consumers, at home, at work, on the road, in the shopping street or online in the store. The Shopping Awards will be presented for the 19th time on Thursday 26 March 2020.
