I develop and deliver energy projects at the intersection of engineering, construction management, commercial strategy, and execution. My work centers on partnering with clients and stakeholders to understand operational needs, translate them into technically sound solutions, and advance projects from concept through qualification, contracting, and delivery. I bring a builder’s mindset to energy development, focused on quality, asset performance, risk management, and financial impact. My background spans hands-on engineering, entrepreneurship, and large-portfolio energy programs in the C&I and Federal sectors, enabling me to operate across the full project lifecycle, from early feasibility and stakeholder alignment to execution and performance accountability. I am particularly drawn to complex energy systems and projects where technical depth and commercial judgment must align. I bring an in-depth understanding of federal acquisition regulations, U.S. electricity markets, utility regulatory structures and interconnection processes that influence project feasibility, timelines, and risk. I bring a bias toward execution shaped by my Marine Corps background and early experience in mission-critical environments, where safety, quality, reliability, and accountability were non-negotiable. In my current role with Dewberry Design-Build, I lead our energy market segment, based in our Ashland, VA office.
In my current role I lead the energy market segment within Dewberry's Design-Build business, overseeing strategy, business development, and delivery of utility, industrial, commercial and government energy projects. Focus areas include electrification, renewables, grid modernization, energy infrastructure and resilience projects.
Develop and advance renewable energy, energy efficiency, and electrification projects across a large asset portfolio, from opportunity identification and technical scoping through commercial evaluation and execution support. Manage clean energy procurement activities, including REC strategy and purchasing, to support emissions reduction targets and align energy sourcing with business and operational needs. Serve as the sustainability and energy subject matter expert, advising on sustainable solutions, utility markets, and project feasibility while supporting cross-functional stakeholders and external partners. Lead carbon and GHG accounting and reporting for the Americas region in alignment with CSRD and corporate decarbonization requirements, ensuring audit-ready data and regulatory compliance for all lines of business across North and South America.
Founded and led a design-build energy services firm delivering renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy-resilience projects for commercial and federal clients. Led sales, project development and execution, including customer engagement, technical scoping, feasibility, pricing, contracting, and delivery across MEP-intensive energy projects. Served as primary commercial and technical lead, translating customer requirements into executable, bankable solutions under multiple delivery and contracting models including FFP, Cost+, and performance contracting. Operated as an SDVOSB prime contractor with past performance for the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering Command, NATO Allied Command Transformation, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Founded a wholesale distributor of commercial LED lighting serving industrial, commercial, and government customers. Managed a global supply chain, led turnkey lighting projects, including audits, lighting design, financial analysis, installation coordination, and ongoing maintenance. Worked directly with customers to scope opportunities, develop technical solutions, and manage contractors through project delivery.
