¡Hola!, I’m a proactive and highly adaptable collaborative Senior UX Designer with over +10 years of experience finding elegant and easy-to-implement solutions to design and business challenges. I love to listen and understand the user’s needs to break down and simplify complex problems to find the best solutions. I have collaborated with early-stage startups and established corporations worldwide with diverse business backgrounds. I’m a team player, so I believe in cross-functional teams where designers, engineers, product managers, and leaders collaborate to ideate and execute a shared vision. I currently live in Guadalajara, Mexico, and sometimes travel around the world, sharing stories with my camera. I have a passion for learning everything about technology, design, and travel, but recently, I’ve been interested in what makes us humans. I love the startup ecosystem, which led me to support events like Startup Weekend, design conferences, and hackathons. I come from the Sonoran desert, a great city called Navojoa, where authentic grilled steak tacos live. The curiosity to learn and find better experiences made me move to Guadalajara, Jalisco. I want to contribute to a world where anything is possible, creating solutions that help people improve their lives. So they can make their dreams come true.
As a part of the Design team in the Student Experience Team at Platzi, I help create online learning experiences that transform learners from passive to active. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop solutions that enhance growth, engagement, and learning experiences. My responsibilities include: Solving complex interaction and system design problems. Using data to define goals and create effective user experiences. Creating deliverables, from prototypes to documentation. Leading design projects and improvement initiatives. Understanding learners' goals to support them effectively. Design and implement effective and efficient navigation and information architecture for mobile apps and responsive websites. Create and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and pattern libraries for mobile apps and responsive websites. Ensure that designs are accessible and inclusive for all users. Worked with the UX team on redesigning several critical platform features (SaaS) as part of the migration process to the next version of ShipHero. Reduced the time warehouse managers can spend on a daily basis on how they will deal with orders that need to be shipped through a redesigned dashboard which includes everything they need to know to start to fulfill.
