AUTONOMOUS ARDRONE (January 2012 – June 2012) The project was to program an ardrone (a helicopter) so it can be controlled by itself. The objective was to move on a 3d environment avoiding obstacles given a map and using computer vision algorithms. It had to make a route and follow it by itself using landmarks. COMPILER (January 2012 – June 2012) The project was to build a compiler from scratch using c/c++ for a high level microcontroller language. We had to design all the steps that involve the creation of a compiler. PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCE Web Developer Worked as a web developer where my principal role was as developer and tester of the project. My main activities as a web developer were the design, coding and testing of the project, as well as the deployment of it. Worked in this position for 8 moths. * Project involving a develpment of an ecommerce web page (August 2012 – December 2012) * Project involving a development of a recruitment system (January 2013 – March 2013) Database Administrator Worked as a database administrator where my principal role is the maintenance and health check of servers and its databases. My main activities were maintenance, performance improvement and processes automation of the databases. Worked in this position for 12 months. This is my actual position. * Project involving database administration activities (March 2013 - Current)
Main activities: - Ensure the availability, reliability, and maintenance of critical business applications and their underlying servers and databases - Support, management and maintenance of SQL 2005/2008/2012/2014 - Installation, automation, configuration and securing of SQL - Mirroring, log shipping and alwaysOn build and maintenance - Replication build and maintenance - Troubleshooting real-time production issues - Monitoring/troubleshooting issues using SQL Profiler - Strong query and database tuning skills - Improve databases performance - Support Dev/QA/Production servers (More than thousands servers) - Use of SSIS and SSRS (Basic) - Production support 24/7 (on call) - Backup and recovery - Monitor and troubleshoot Microsoft and application servers and associated jobs and processes. Monitor performance of Microsoft servers using various performance tools. Ensure problems and error conditions are promptly and appropriately addressed. - Assist with database migrations, MS upgrades, and hardware implementations.
