Blueberries specialist since already 30 years, beginning with classical NHB varieties in Chile, like Duke, Bluecrop, Brigitta, Elliott, etc. Later on, in 2012 we introduced new low chill and evergreen cultivars (Australian genetic), and since then I have been growing, learning and advising about management of these varieties (substrate, soil, tunnels, roof, pruning, organic, etc.). Furthermore, I have performed like international consultant in Argentina, USA (California), Spain (Huelva), México (Jalisco), Ecuador and Peru. In addition, I have had opportunities for visiting blueberries production systems in USA (New Jersey, Oregon, Washington and Florida), Canada (British Columbia), Mexico (Jalisco, Michoacán, Baja California), Peru (Trujillo, Olmos), Australia (New South Wales, Tasmania), Poland, Scotland and England. I have also been speaker in conferences and field days in Chile, California, Mexico and Ecuador. My main expertise nowadays is related to blueberry new varieties performance, pruning and substrate production, both NHB and SHB cultivars. I have also been in charge of varieties test plots and IP (Intellectual Protection) process of new genetic in Chile, in coordination with local lawyers and government institution (protected varieties register, SAG) In my role as Production Manager I have been an efficient leader, meaningful mentor for younger agronomist and always open for team working. In addition, in former positions I have also worked in asparagus and raspberries crops, always as a Production Manager, supervising farmers and growing performance.
