Raoul van Herwijnen is a licensed Architect (AKNW, Bureau Architecten) 14 years of professional working experience gained in several internationally renowned offices such as JSWD, schneider+schumacher, Benthem Crouwel Architects and Guallart Architects. In his latest projects such as the large scale Schwarz-Project-Campus (GFA 330.000 sqm) and the Wolfsburg Service Yards (GFA 52.000 sqm), he manages to secure in close collaboration with the Client, the Construction Management and the Building Contractors, to succesfully complete large-scale architectural projects. His goal is to convert complex large scale Projects into convincing Architecture, within the demanding constrainments of Quality, Time and Budget.

For the Construction of the Schwarz-Campus-Project in Bad-Friedrichshall Germany, which consists out of multiple buildings with a total GFA of 330.000 sqm, I have the following tasks: - Securing the Completion of the Project within the constrainments of Architecture, Technology, Time and Budget. - On-site Coordination of all Processes, in direct collaboration with Client, Construction Management, Contractors and Engineers. - Taking accountability for the progression of the Project towards the Client. This is taking place in several meetings including the LEAN Construction meeting. - Controlling and Managing the Subordinate Construction Scheme. - Problem Solving for all the executional Problems determined on Site. - Providing all necessary Communication between the Construction Site and the Architectural Design Teams.
For the design and construction of a waste management complex in Wolfsburg Germany, consisting out of numerous industrial halls and offces with a GFA of 52.000 sqm, I was executing the following tasks: - As a member of the Construction Management, coordinating and managing all operations and acitvities which were being executed by the various contractors on site. - Taking accountability towards the Client in weekly held construction meetings. - Securing the Architectural und Technical Requirements with the implementation of the Technical Design. - Instant Problem-solving in case technical Problems were determined on site. - Communication between the Construction Site and the Architectural Design Team.
