About

Hello, my name is Raoul Morcos. After almost two years of dedication, consistency and hard work, I am a motivated student in my last semester of Health Science program at André-Grasset College. I never thought I would get this far! In fact, when I came to Montreal five years ago, I couldn't speak English nor French. However, my passion for learning and my perseverance helped me overcome many obstacles, especially the language barrier, and graduate from high school as one of the highest-performing students. Now, looking back on those days, I realize that these difficulties shaped my character and helped me become more adaptable and resilient. In university, I plan on expanding my knowledge and studies in the health field, especially in biology, since I have always been fascinated by the human body and its various systems that keep us alive! I am most interested in becoming a doctor because of the opportunity to pursue a specialization that I am passionate about. Additionally, I am interested in pursuing research since I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. Furthermore, I really enjoy solving problems and look forward to tackling tough diagnoses. I also want a career working in a team, and being a doctor will allow me to interact with many people from different backgrounds. I volunteer regularly and am passionate about providing care to people in need. Last summer, I did an observation internship in a dental clinic in order to enhance my confidence and my understanding of the healthcare field. The doctor-patient relationship genuinely inspired me. This amazing experience confirmed my passion for the medical field.
